Location: Richardson, TX - remote job

Hiring for an IT/General Manager - REMOTE - Must be located in the US

FTE only - no contracting

The ideal candidate would have experience running a software dev team or cloud-based business. We don't need someone who codes, but he needs to be very comfortable in a tech/ops/dev environment. This position will oversee the engineering, sales and operations side of the business. Ideally looking for someone with a history of agile process/team management. Prefer someone who has managed 6-figure plus tech professionals, such as systems administrators, developers, etc. The preference would be someone with credentials whose history includes a good amount of Director, Sr Director or VP/GM level. Any of these would be fine, depending upon who and what you've been managing.

To be clear, we don't need someone who can write code or be a Chief Architect, but we DO need someone more steeped in managing higher level technical staff and projects, as opposed to customer service/support.

Our client is looking for someone who has experience from a management standpoint and a tech/agile standpoint. Our client is looking for a General Manager who has a solid understanding of technical requirements and business scope. This is not a technical position, but it would be highly desired to have an understanding and knowledge of timelines, deliverables and scope of projects. Also, to help in reviewing technical resumes.

The Role:
  • Oversee the engineering, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Responsible for hiring and building internal teams.
  • Deal with project activities, right from conceptualization to execution, involving finalization of technical specifications, scheduling, Client planning, procurement, vendor development, progress monitoring.
  • Improving efficiency and increasing departmental profits while managing the company's overall operations.
  • Oversee several elements in a business, including hiring staff, operating budgets, and launching price promotions that could attract more customers.
  • Maintain budgets and identify areas to improve in
  • Set policies and processes.
  • Evaluate operational and financial performance.
  • Ensure regulations are followed.
  • Provide solutions.
