Lead Scrum Master
REMOTE (some travel to MA and/or TN)

As a Lead Scrum Master, you will
be responsible for partnering with other agile practitioners in designing, developing, and delivering a multiyear product development transformation roadmap bringing in organizational, cultural, and process optimizations for the enterprise.

As an Agile Practitioner you will be responsible for ensuring Agile Frameworks are understood and enacted. Agile Practitioners do this by ensuring that the team and organization adhere to the values of the Agile Manifesto and the twelve principles therein. You are a servant leader. You help employees and stakeholders understand and enact empirical product development. You are a facilitator, trainer, coach, and mentor for the team, organization, and enterprise. You are not defined or bounded by your title, but instead focus on delivering value. You may at times fill various roles based on organizational needs and your own abilities, including: Scrum Master, Team Coach, and organization Coach. You seek to continuously improve your own skills, the effectiveness of your team, and the organization’s understanding of Agile. You measure progress using learning milestones. You support the five elements of a learning organization: personal mastery, mental models, shared vision, team learning, and systems thinking. You adhere to the five Scrum values: focus, courage, openness, commitment, and respect
Responsibilities
  • Partnering with other agile leaders in implementing the transformation roadmap that meets the demands for an accelerated rate of improvement whereby the product development system is highly adaptive, delivers high business value to the market and increases ROI
  • Convening leadership team on substantial topics that the leadership team will collaborate to resolve or influence
  • Creating improved interaction models primarily between Product, Technology and client facing teams.
  • Establishing measures and practices to include leadership accountability for rapidly delivering on roadmap outcomes.
  • Building a cadence with the leadership team and providing a single version of the truth on transformation progress to ensure visibility and action on the key performance indicators, risks and issues.
  • Identifying and removing waste and optimizing flow
  • Building and maturing an internal team of agile leaders, practitioners and experts and leveraging support roles as needed
  • Working with the Product leadership to identify additional areas of optimization by deconstructing issues, developing solutions, assigning accountability, and following through to conclusion.
Qualifications
Required
  • 10+ years of Product and IT experience
  • 5+ years leading transformation efforts spanning across at least business and technology.
  • 5+ years of experience applying multiple agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS
  • 5+ years in the role of Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile Coach
  • 5+ years of leading / managing people.
  • 5+ years of experience working on large scale, multiple Scrum team projects.
  • Experience with agile planning tools like Aha!, CA Agile and JIRA
  • Experience with developing DevOps practices and culture
  • Excellent English communication skills in written and spoken form.
  • Excellent speaking, facilitating and resolution skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
Preferred:
  • Agile Practitioner Certification(s)
  • Scaling of Scrum Certification(s)
  • Healthcare experience
  • Understanding of other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise.
  • Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices
  • Participation in industry agile communities
