This Designer, assigned to our Monterrey, Mexico office, plays a key role within the Employer Brand Advisory creative team, bringing a high level of talent and skill to a wide variety of digital design projects. The position combines graphic design talent with technical skills in web and video. Ability to bring an art director or senior designer’s rough concepts to life is essential, but also will have ample opportunity to originate concepts and designs. This level is typically met by 3-4 years of full-time professional experience. Design thinking, attention to detail and technical specs are key success factors. This designer will understand the project’s objectives and support the campaign message or brand story through compelling design, while at same time design with production and brand standards in mind, meeting a high level of all-around quality.

This role works closely with senior and peer creatives, including a Creative Director, Project Managers and a Traffic Manager to ensure timely and accurate execution. At times they will need to work initiate and complete projects independently and be comfortable working with senior account leads and discussing work with clients. Should be comfortable working in a creative but deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities - Be a go-to resource for excellence in design across digital platforms, including sites, animated display advertising and social media. - Review input (specs and other traffic and media information) for completeness to do ingest work into the creative workstream; ability to articulate additional needs to launch a task. - Create from concept (treatments, storyboards, wireframes) to highly-polished conclusions. - Offer advice on everything from UX to voiceovers, music and f/x. - Collaborate with copywriters on outlines for landing pages, scripts and advertising. - Create graphics packages intended for web experiences, video or digital brand standards. - Editing of animations including web animations - Render audio and video projects to proper technical specs (bitrate, FPS, codec, aspects, etc.). - Logging, organizing, formatting, labelling and helping to distribute and/or archive as needed. - Present ideas to internal colleagues and clients and articulate creative reasoning and benefits, as well as alignment to creative brief. - Ability to quickly generate (independently or collaboratively) creative ideas and use an iterative process to drive multiple, unique ideas options to consider.

Skills & Experience - Expertise in AfterEffects, Premiere, PowerPoint, Xd, Photoshop, Animate, Illustrator - Experience working within brand systems, standards and tool kits. - Working in web-build platforms such as WordPress, Drupal and asset-build/manage apps such as Canva and ability to learn and work in other client supplied SAAS type platforms. - Understanding and use of email platforms such as Outlook or Mailchimp - Understand social media channels (aspect ratios, file size limits, file types such as video, animated GIFs, etc.) - Proficiency also in InDesign, Excel, Word - Some HTML, CSS, JavaScript proficiency; web design front-end experience helpful - Web animations via Lottie (.json), CSS, JavaScript familiarity helpful - Basic understanding of mobile-first approach to digital design - Excellent verbal communication and thought articulation skills in both English & Spanish
