Job Description**The Litigation Attorney in our Alabama Office is responsible for handling litigation matters for the Firm. They will utilize legal knowledge and experience as necessary to facilitate the litigation process on behalf of our clients. The litigation candidate will report to our Supervising Partner, AL and our Supervising Partner, GA Litigation on their respective matters. - Attend mediations, trials, and hearings, and other duties as assigned - Perform legal research and writing - Take and defend depositions - Draft pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery, proposed orders, correspondence, memoranda, and opinion letters - Travel on an as needed basis - Write articles and make presentations to clients, trade associations, and ICLE - Participate in marketing initiatives

Required Skills, Education and Experience - Bachelor’s Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school - Member of the Alabama and Georgia Bar, while maintaining all necessary licensing and continuing legal education requirements - Litigation experience in GA preferred, but not required - At least five years litigation experience, foreclosure experience a plus - Title experience is preferred - Must be well-versed in the rules of evidence, introducing evidence, and civil procedure in both state and federal court - Must be able to work well with all members of the group - Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills - Proficiency with Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office products - Proficiency with Fastcase or Westlaw - Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases - Must possess strong organizational skills - Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
