Job description

The Software Engineer will be a key member of the Software Development team by solving complicated, challenging problems with code and delivering solutions that make a real difference to job seekers and teams.

Position To Fill: Two

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the maintenance and development of critical front-end and backend systems.
  • Hands-on coding, unit-testing and maintenance of projects for the Engineering team, based on system specifications and Change Requests provided by the product team
  • Oversee the automation of business and technical processes, trouble-shoot production issues and fix as needed, maintaining and improving deployed code as needed
  • Work closely with other software engineers to ensure that company coding standards, policies and IT procedures are observed as well as participate in the evaluation and selection of new strategies and technologies

What You Need to Qualify

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Handlebar JS , JavaScript
  • Solid software development skills building software developed in (at least one) Python, C# or Java
  • Familiarity with Flask architecture within Python.
  • Solid RDBMS and NoSQL database experience. Specifically MSSQL Server, MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Experience designing clean and maintainable APIs
  • Knowledge about Threads and Queue and should be able to write asynchronous code
  • Ability to rapidly learn new software languages, frameworks and APIs quickly
  • Familiarity with JavaScript and front-end frameworks
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Knowledge about Docker and AWS cloud services
  • Helpful to know fundamentals of elastic Search how to write efficient Queries
  • Sharp and tenacious troubleshooting skills: you can fix anything!
