The Lactation Network is looking for a Data Analyst. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on business data. This includes gathering data from a variety of sources, cleaning and organizing the data, and using statistical analysis to identify trends and patterns. Our Data Analyst will also create data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders across financial, commercial, marketing, product, and operational teams.

Breakdown of the role - Data Analysis & Visualization (50%). Reporting to the Data Engineering Lead, this role will analyze patterns, visualize data in effective ways, and drive organizational change. - Reporting (50%). Prepare reports for leadership and internal teams that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
What you’ll do - Collect and analyze data from a variety of sources, including internal systems, external databases, and surveys - Apply analytical techniques to clean, connect, and organize data - Identify trends and patterns in data - Create data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders - Work with tech and product teams to implement improved data collection in order to increase the level of reporting detail - Proactively identify business opportunities for a wide range of teams - Develop and implement data-driven solutions to business problems - Responsible for reconciling data reports and results for monthly and quarterly business reviews - Deliver ad hoc reporting requests; working to shape requests into meaningful and actionable data - Document data analysis procedures, findings, and recommendations - Stay up-to-date on the latest data analysis techniques and technologies
What we expect from you - Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, computer science, or a related field - 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or BI Analyst - 2+ years of experience in creating SQL queries (or equivalent) for analytics and data validation purposes - 2+ years of experience in creating and designing advanced dashboards and visualizations, preferably with Power BI. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Experience working with a range of reporting platforms, analytics tools, and data management systems (e.g. SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SASS etc.) - Highly proficient in using the Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, Powerpoint, Word etc..) - Experience manipulating, transforming, connecting, and analyzing data from disparate sources - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities - A working knowledge of applying statistical techniques to data - A desire to present data with integrity
What we’d also love to see - Master's degree in business, statistics, computer science, or a related field - Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly working with metrics for health plans and employers - Experience with business intelligence tools and technologies - Experience with cloud database platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Big Query etc…) - Familiarity with data pipelines and cleaning techniques - Experience with Python or R in an analytical role
