Job Description

The ideal candidate is an experienced charging professional and product marketer who will contribute to elevating our existing commercial charging products to the next level, to help develop intuitive and thoughtful messaging to charging customers with an expectation to help drive demand focusing on product positioning, sales enablement and product messaging. The EU marketing leader is expected to possess deep working understanding of charging, utilities, energy management and how to position fleet charging products in the EU marketplace. **

Responsibilities**

What you will be doing:

  • Be the undisputed champion for commercial charging content and marketing messages
  • Identify and document product content to customer segments
  • Work collaboratively with product and other stakeholders to create an overarching charging marketing EU roadmap that’s centered on customer value and consistent messaging
  • Own the EU product marketing strategy to help improve the success of our solutions in the market.
  • Inform the overall Pro marketing strategy with valuable product marketing intelligence from charging
  • Be the evangelist, internally and externally, for our full solutions set and monitor the performance of solutions to educate key stakeholders
  • Develop detailed persona’s and gain a deep understanding of the markets charging is in to inform product, sales and adjacent marketing activities and own the content creation for all channels
  • Build and keep up to date a charging competitor comparison matrix for the EU market. Using this intelligence to inform new product development, pricing strategies and marketing tactics
  • Using customer research and competitor intelligence, develop product positioning and messaging, including differentiators and use cases for the EU market
  • Support the go-to-market team and collaborating closely with product, sales, sales enablement, events teams and other marketing teams
  • Integrate into the product management teams in charging and own the marketing roadmap for all new/future features
  • Own the entire life cycle of the digital product message
  • Create competitive claims based on research through the claim approval process
  • Support SW pricing analysis working with finance to ensure product pricing is competitive to the competition
  • Manage product nomenclature work for trademark verification in both NA and EU, to develop governance to with all stakeholders for approval

Other considerations :

  • Role is based in the London, UK area but willing to consider remote work outside of the UK
  • Role may require :25% travel to the Ford offices in the London area if based outside. May require occasional travel to customer sites or marketing events as needed

Qualifications

The minimum requirement we seek:

  • 3+ years of proven experience in digital product marketing, with strong domain experience in charging or electrification with the entire span of time leading charging solutions in and for the European market
  • Experience working as a product marketing manager on SaaS products for B2B enterprise level accounts
  • Extensive industry knowledge of charging software and hardware products and how to best position Ford Pro Charging against the competition
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with an ability to read and understand product requirements
  • The ability to understand and articulate technical concepts and translate these into compelling, commercial, customer focused communications.
  • Must collaborate with customers, product leads, design leads, sales, engineers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to create customer centric messaging
  • Familiar creating content and collateral product launches and can easily adapt to other corporate messaging across Ford Pro and the enterprise
  • Influence product direction through effective storytelling that conveys a compelling product vision to secure buy-in from cross-product stakeholders
  • Ability to multi-task, context switch and self-prioritize tasks based on demand and organization priorities
  • Experience using data and insights to drive toward successful product marketing outcomes
  • Experience developing and presenting product marketing plans and concepts at an executive level.
  • Strong understanding of all elements of the digital product life-cycle and how product marketing fits into this

Additional or Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field. MBA highly preferred
  • A track record of success as a storyteller, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, create clarity, and lead through ambiguity in a complex, matrixed organization
