Role- Technical Test Analyst - Mobile Banking
We are interested in someone with a strong technical testing background and mindset, developed through years of testing experience and continuous education in the testing field. You will know how to apply critical thinking skills in your role to identify problems in our products.
As a technical tester you will provide technical support and guidance to the rest of the team on testing activities and challenges across the various stages of the SDLC. (Meeting definition of Done and user story Acceptance criteria, Weekly Merge Testing, ad-hoc code drops and patches, Regression and Backwards Compatibility Testing, etc).
The role includes defect validation, triage and analysis into root causes to identify trends from this to help drive process improvements in terms of development and testing practices.
This position:
Is part of the technical testing team, working alongside the client, the QA manager, QA lead and the rest of the QA team.
Has a strong relationship with the development tech leads and QA teams across the project team.
Works in an expert/advisor capacity to all members of the QA practice.
What You Will Do:
Understand, communicate and execute on the scope of testing required to meet the needs of the project or desired business capabilities
Work closely with the client in terms of defect validation, triage and overall defect management both pre and post production
Assist with test planning and execution on a release level basis
Plan and execute Integration testing with 3rd party systems
Test Mobile SDK and Framework related implementations and upgrades
Develop and maintain standard QA and Test documents to form an integral part of the delivery methodology.
Understand the system architecture, release and environment management, and contribute towards quality initiatives and overall process improvements
Keep up to date with latest iOS and Android market trends as well as latest OS/Hardware & technological changes in the mobile space
What Would Be Great to Have:
Fluent in both Thai and English
6+ years experience in software testing with a strong focus on the technical aspect of testing
4+ years experience with native mobile applications
Be a capable technical tester, proficient in API testing and the use of tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Fiddler, Charles or similar
Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills with the ability to reproduce issues reported by clients and help determine root causes to aid resolution of issues.
Ability to plan and execute Integration testing with 3rd party systems
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Rapid Software Testing techniques
Advanced understanding of various testing techniques and how to apply these given the context of the project or environment that you are testing in
Solid defect tracking and management experience with ability to implement and run Programme level Defect Triage between a client and multiple project/scrum teams
Able to plan QA activities over multiple release cycles and assist with released level testing activities
Experience in banking domain a plus
