Job description

Who we are - our mission:

terralayr addresses the massive deficit in global energy storage.

The over-indexing in the generation of electricity from renewable energy sources leads to a large volatility on the energy grid. The main problem is that wind and solar farms are fluctuating and by definition unsteady - there is no sun at night and it is not always windy. This increases the need for flexibility in the form of battery storage systems to balance the grid in times when supply and demand do not match.
By buying and developing grid scale storage assets, as well as virtually aggregating them across a layer, we are creating the world's first energy cloud. Imagine AWS for energy. Through the flexibility we secure, we can market flexibility-as-a-service and hedging products/power insurance to utilities, SMEs/Industrial players as well as create virtual storage capacity for PV & wind farms.

What we are hiring for - Your responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage an international portfolio of BESS assets, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and profitability.

  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the technical and commercial performance of each BESS unit, identifying areas for improvement or maintenance.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the operation and maintenance of BESS units.

  • Operations Coordination: Schedule and oversee regular maintenance activities, adhere to warranty and insurance requirements to ensure system reliability and longevity.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including O&M provider, optimizer, and regulatory bodies.

  • Asset Controlling: Supervise service providers to ensure they are fulfilling their roles effectively and maintaining agreed-upon availability.

What we are looking for - Your Qualifications
  • Educational Background: A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in renewable asset management, preferably with BESS.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with energy regulations, grid compliance, and safety standards.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

  • Project Management: Experience in managing projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and timeline management.

Why you should be excited about this opportunity:
  • Work for a company with a clear mission: A world powered by 100% renewable energy

  • Have impact from day 1: Your contribution will not only have a positive impact on society; by joining our small and nimble team, your work will make a difference from day one.
