We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled AWS Aurora Postgres and Document DB Database Administrator Manager Level to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our AWS Aurora Postgres and Document DB databases, ensuring their optimal performance, and availability.
Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain our AWS Aurora Postgres and Document DB databases, ensuring their optimal performance, and availability.
• Design, implement, and maintain database systems, including schema design, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address database requirements and challenges.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in database administration.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to database systems, including standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator (10+ years), specifically with AWS Aurora Postgres and Document DB.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems, including database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with AWS services, including RDS, EC2, and CloudWatch.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• AWS Certified Database - Specialty certification.
• Experience with other AWS database services
• Familiarity with database security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and data masking.
• Experience with database migration and replication tools.
• Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python or Bash.
