Job description

Our clients are rapidly expanding and to support the growth strategy and ambition we are now hiring Senior/Junior Financial Advisors to join the existing financial planning team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market shaping business for Advisors who are passionate about delivering customer centric financial planning solutions.

Role Summary:

The role requires someone who is self-motivated and whose priority is to place the interests of the client always to the fore. Relationship building is critical as this is seen as a corner stone to growing business and the retention of business. Forging strong relationships with the other teams within the company to help bring the brand and advice proposition to a wider audience.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Primary goal as a Financial Planner is to achieve and exceed sales targets with a customer first approach and in a compliant manner.
  • Service the existing book of clients to offer reviews of existing policies and identifying where you can add value for the client within their existing financial Plan.
  • Identify and act on referrals.
  • Complete and administer all DocuSign and work to get policies issued and a daily, weekly and monthly basis. In time if you are performing to an exceptionally high level we will look at administrative support to ease the burden.
  • Maintain a high level of conversion of business sold (90%) whilst also maintaining exceptional customer service and any other stipulated KPIs as agreed with management.
  • Complete high quality reviews with clients in order to advise and laying out a Financial Plan whilst adhering to all regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Know and understand the consumer protection code and other relevant legislation by which the role is governed.
  • Cooperation and adherence to CRM system and compliant client file upkeep.
  • Manage ad hoc requests and general enquiries relating to your own personal contacts and any new leads.
  • Maintain compliant up‐to‐date records within an existing filing system, whilst also referencing any interaction with clients on the CRM system. (All training to be provided)
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative processes through feedback and cooperation with support staff.
  • Maintain professional development and accreditation through tutorials and seminars.
  • Report to management and support staff any activities, sales and meetings undertaken.
  • Experience working with a spectrum of clients with varying advice needs from basic to complex.
  • Manage workload to exceed customers expectations by producing work to the highest professional standard, representing the brand in the best way possible.
  • Have established networks and business development channels.
  • Collaborate with staff and management to ensure lead generation & referrals are maximised. This may involve workplace visits or presentations to drive lead collection.
  • Be an effective team member of the Financial Planning team contributing to the development of the department business plan, while supporting each other in the achievement of KPIs. A Positive attitude/approach with an individual focus but Team awareness is a must.
  • Use your initiative to identify potential opportunities and make recommendations that can be pursued to drive sales and improve service levels.
  • Maintaining client relationships and scheduling appointment for 12-18 months in advance for your existing clients to enact the next part of their plan. A key responsibility of a successful Financial Planner is to coach our clients to their goals and regular meetings offer ongoing support and opportunity to review the plan.

  • Initiative and drive with strong planning & organising skills are critical together with the ability to prioritise, to manage a wide agenda and to anticipate the implications of actions.
  • Excellent technical knowledge.
  • Solutions focused with excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities and an ability to identify and deal with an increasingly complex range of requirements.
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure

Requirements:

  • Ideally 1-5 years experience as a Financial Advisor qualified in the financial services industry.
  • Proficient with digital solutions in delivering advice proposition Visualisation tools, DocuSign etc
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good ability to multitask and meet deadlines & commercial targets.
  • Be comfortable developing new sources of business Self generated opportunity.
  • Proficient in MS office packages; specifically, Excel and Word.
  • Highly motivated with an ability to take ownership and with strong attention to detail
