The opportunity


The primary purpose of this Senior Analyst (Cyber) position, is to conduct detailed analysis and reporting, as well as consulting stakeholders whilst implementing activities to deliver and continuously improve Cyber Defence, Risk and Resilience Services across the Transport cluster


As Senior Analyst (Cyber), you will be expected to:

  • Deliver one or more aspects of Cyber Defence, Risk and Resilience Services such as; security operations, intelligence and response, advisory, risk and assurance, culture, policy & compliance, business continuity, or portfolio delivery.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support the continuous improvement of one or more of these services, in order to measurably reduce cyber and technology risk within agencies and across the cluster.
  • Design, develop and implement tools and processes to support effective practices amongst cyber and risk teams across the cluster.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of and provide recommendations related to one or more of these services.
  • Build and maintain effective business relationships and collaborate to promote improved cyber defence, risk and resilience practices.
  • Demonstrate the five ways of leading behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers, our people and communities for the greater good




About you

It is essential for qualifying applicants to hold relevant tertiary qualifications or possess similar relevant experience in this field.

Furthermore, ideal candidates will have:

  • Demonstrated experience with cyber defence, risk and resilience services.
  • Strong data analysis, communication, problem solving, analysis and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines while balancing competing priorities.
  • This role may have a variable number of direct and indirect reports depending on business and project requirements, so experience in leading and managing people will be favourable but not essential.
