Key responsabilities:

  • Prescribe and assess the effectiveness of therapeutic measures and counsel patients on mental health and disorder prevention
  • Coordinate psychiatric services, instruct interns and residents, and serve as a medical and psychiatric consultant

Healthcare Talent Support is a nationwide healthcare recruitment company. We are actively seeking a Child and Adolescent trained Psychiatrist for a long term tele-psychiatry opportunity in New Mexico.

Summary:

Are you passionate about providing high quality tele-psychiatry services? This opportunity requires board certification, and child and adolescent training. Initially the opportunity will require onsite for the first few months and then reduce to approximately every three months.

Status: 1099; travel expense paid or reimbursed

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm
  • Telepsychiatry
  • Expected to physically report to Cannon AFB monthly. Initially 5 days per

    month for the first few months
  • Med mal: under Federal Torte Claims Act

About the opportunity:

  • Examines, evaluates, diagnoses, and treats psychiatric disorders
  • Prepares and reviews case histories and obtains and evaluates data

    through interview techniques.

    Diagnose psychiatric disorders.

  • Prescribes and evaluates effectiveness of a wide range of therapeutic

    measures.
  • Recommends dispositions of psychiatric cases.
  • Advises on problems related to mental health and prevention of mental disorders.
  • Serves as medical and psychiatric consultant to clinical psychologists and clinical social workers.
  • Advises on the kind and quality of psychiatric supplies and equipment.

  • Coordinates psychiatric services with other medical activities.

    Instructs interns and residents in psychiatric principles and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Education: Graduate from an American Psychiatric Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychiatry.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Psychiatrist within the last 3 years
  • Board Certification: Current board certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
  • License: Current, full, active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Psychiatrist in any state, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
