As a Tax Consultant, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on tax matters, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, and identifying opportunities for tax optimization. You will work closely with both clients to provide expert guidance and develop tailored tax strategies to meet their specific needs.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice to clients on various tax-related matters, including income tax, corporate tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes
  • Ensure that clients comply with all relevant tax regulations and deadlines, including the preparation and submission of tax returns and reports
  • Assist in tax-related due diligence and advise on tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and business combinations to enhance tax efficiency in transactions
  • Analyze financial statements and documents to identify potential tax-saving opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for tax-related issues
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations in Bulgaria, and conduct research to provide informed recommendations to clients
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, tax documents, and correspondence

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Tax Consultant or in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of Bulgarian tax laws and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent command of English
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
