Job description

Location: Italy

We are recruiting for a Senior or Principal Consultant (FLUENT IN ITALIAN) to work closely with the Steer international transaction team and play a role in supporting the development of our global Port & Maritime offer. The selected candidate will work on a variety of projects in the freight (container, bulk) and passenger (ferry, cruise) maritime sectors providing strategic advisory to Clients in Italy, Europe, Americas and Asia.


Qualifications required

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Management or Engineering or equivalent;
  • 3-5 years of experience in the maritime and port sector.

Requirements

What we'd like from you:

  • Experience in the Port & Maritime sector;
  • Knowledge of the strategic aspects, market dynamics and key drivers, in particular in the freight sector;
  • Ability to take a Project Manager role and deliver successful projects (time, cost, quality);
  • Good analytical capabilities and Excel spreadsheets knowledge;
  • Ability to create reports in a logical and well-structured way;
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to explain clearly and with confidence analyses’ findings to non-technical audiences;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, time-management and ability to work as part of a team;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to support work winning;
  • Availability to attend Client’s meetings in Italy and abroad as required by projects;
  • Fluency in both Italian and English is a must (writing and speaking). Additional language capabilities would be an advantage.

Desirable additional attributes

· Knowledge of port operational aspects;

· Previous experience in Due Diligence mandates, in particular in the Commercial, Technical and ESG areas;

· Experience of successfully managing stakeholder groups;

Track record in winning work and Client engagement.
