We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join our team of experts. Position Overview: As a NOC Engineer at Lincoln IT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our clients' networks. You will be responsible for monitoring network systems, diagnosing and resolving issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide exceptional support. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical background in network operations. We are looking to fill several roles for overnight and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network infrastructure using various network management tools to ensure uptime and performance.
  • Detect and troubleshoot network incidents, identifying root causes and implementing timely resolutions.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior team members or appropriate departments for resolution.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective incident response and communication.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network incidents, configurations, and resolutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for network-related emergencies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of network monitoring processes and tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a NOC Engineer or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, topologies, and architectures.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex network issues.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) is an advantage.
