Position Overview

Are you a passionate and dedicated Secondary Mathematics Teacher committed to empowering students with strong communication and critical thinking skills? Stellar Virtual is seeking an exceptional educator to join our remote team and make a profound impact on the lives of young learners. If you possess a love for literature, a mastery of mathematics, and the ability to create engaging and inspiring virtual learning experiences, we want to hear from you!

Essential Position Functions

  • Develop and deliver dynamic and interactive virtual lessons that align with the mathematics curriculum for secondary students.
  • Create engaging instructional materials, such as multimedia presentations, videos, and online activities, to facilitate meaningful learning experiences.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated, supported, and encouraged to participate actively.
  • Utilize innovative teaching strategies and technology tools to enhance student engagement and understanding of social studies concepts.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments and provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and align instructional units, assessments, and interdisciplinary projects.
  • Monitor and track student performance, identify areas of improvement, and develop individualized learning plans when necessary.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administrators to address any concerns or challenges and maintain open lines of communication.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, resources, and best practices in social studies education and incorporate them into instruction.
     

    Education & Certification Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Valid teaching certification or license in the State of Texas. 
    • Proven experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level, preferably in a virtual or remote setting.
    • Strong knowledge of Mathematics curriculum standards and instructional best practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
    • Demonstrated ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
    • Proficient in utilizing educational technology tools and software for virtual instruction.
    • Positive attitude, resilience, and adaptability in a remote work environment.
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
