Our corporate client is looking a part-time, remote PHP Full Stack Developer to work approximately 20-30 hours a week. The majority of the projects would be on AWS and Cloud Foundry using PHP, Laravel, and Vue.js.
The selected candidate will be required to wear many hats, work both independently and as part of a team, be open to constructive feedback, is proactive, and manage multiple projects in a timely manner. This candidate must be able to navigate and set up AWS environments (and other Cloud Hosting solutions). Also will be required to navigate AWS and set up environments using EC2, ECS, RDS, S3. **
Responsibilities:**
- Develop smooth and efficient code for the creation of cloud-hosted user-friendly web applications.
- Administration, setup, and deployment using AWS/Cloud Foundry.
- Troubleshoot and manage applications for end users.
- Communicate across our team of designers, developers, and system administrators to brainstorm and implement new features.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Experienced
- Education: Bachelors
- 4 years of full-time experience as a developer.
- Experience with PHP 5/7, including object-oriented programming and injection-free coding.
- Thorough understanding of PHP, LAMP stack, SQL, memory usage optimization, Docker, Laravel.
- Knowledge of Docker and container deployment workflows
- Extensive experience with the following AWS Services:
- EC2 for load balancing and compute workloads
- ECS + ECR. For container hosting and deployment
- AWS IAM. Able to write and debug custom permissions policies, create and manage users, roles, and policy definitions
- AWS VPC. Able to devise and understand custom networking schemes involving transit gateways, public and private subnets.
- RDS databases, serverless MySQL-compatible preferred.
- S3. For static file storage and static web hosting.
- Cloudfront + AWS WAF for web security and traffic monitoring
- Should be extremely passionate to work and implement new and different technologies and should come up with new initiatives to scale up the project.
- Experience with the most popular PHP patterns such MVC, Façade, etc.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Be able to read, debug and reuse code written by others with and without documentation.
- Experience with additional technologies including but not limited to GIT, Docker, Composer.
- Familiar with open-source CMS solutions like WordPress and October CMS
- Knowledge with API integrations, application deployment process, and applications administration.
- Experience with automated deployment platforms such as Jenkins / Cloudbees CD Proprietary.
- Experience developing web-based application hosted with Cloud Foundry and Azure.
- Experience debugging AWS related issues.
- Ability to work with multiple teams within Enterprise environment following the best practices and SDLC.
- Experience migrating systems to AWS (such as WordPress).
- Knowledge of Terraform IAC.
