Ford Champs program will allow to get to now different business areas through 12 to 24 months, while you improve your skills and become a better professional. **

Connected Vehicle Software Ford Champ** – Under direction from the Warranty Spend Quarterback (QB) and input from their VFG (Vehicle Function Group) Lead, this candidate will focus primarily on higher time in service issues and the effect on warranty spend.

The trainee will work closely with Core & Applications Engineers to come up with a fix for customers, pursue recoveries from suppliers, and focus team on prevention. Over the Air updates for some vehicles offer the opportunity to fix vehicles. **

Responsibilities**

  • Work closely with VFG and SubQB to identify opportunities for Workshop Manual.
  • Candidate must be on site at least twice per week for activities.
  • Support VFG and SubQB to implement Roadmap actions related to Workshop Manual.
  • Engage in connected vehicle data and CV team to head off issues before they become warranty.
  • Support CVS QB on “shot clock” initiative for Low time and high time in service issues.
  • Proactively work with cross functional Quality leads (Driver Assistant Technologies, Cockpit & Connectivity, Veh Controls, SW team and Systems team).
  • Support and work closely with FWD Model team on QNPS, Customer clinics & Launch’s.
  • Driven to take waste out of existing processes and find new unique ways to tell the warranty spend and recovery story (using data analytics).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • In Progress for Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred)
  • Engineering Degree in progress, active student from any of the last 4 semesters of Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Systems, Mechanical – Electrical, Mechatronics, Aeronautical, Engineering.
  • 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening).
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

  • High level of initiative
  • Good Presentation skills and some experience with Mgt reviews.
  • Proven effective organizational, planning, and time leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, sophisticated and global environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams and projects
  • Ability to consistently perform at a high level of technical competence, showing composure and decisiveness under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
