The Ford Champs Program provides undergraduate students with hands-on, career-specific experience inside Ford of Mexico. **

Ford Champs program** will allow to get to know different business areas through 12 to 24 months, while you improve your skills and become a better professional.

The VEME Ford Champ will be assisting on the integration, prediction and delivery of energy usage related attributes in vehicle, including Thermal Systems, Fuel Economy and Performance feel. The candidate will help with the collection of data, CAE modelling and computing the key metrics for each attribute; considering the interaction of all relevant inputs from data suppliers, including but not limited to: Aerodynamics, Engine & Transmission Hardware, Engine and Transmission Calibration, Brakes, Wheels and Tires, Suspension, Steering, Body Exterior, Body Interior, Studio, Marketing **

Responsibilities**

  • Assist Energy Management engineers, on the integration of the relevant inputs and problem solving, conducting the following activities, among others.
  • Participate in brainstorm sessions.
  • CAE modeling
  • Script development
  • Vehicle instrumentation
  • Development and creation of communication material

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of vehicle energy usage and vehicle related physics.
  • Good understanding of powertrain systems functionality and efficiency improvement, including ICE and xHEV powerpacks.
  • Good understanding of non-powertrain systems, e.g., brakes, steering, tires, underbody shields, among others.
  • Good communication skills in Spanish & English.
  • Familiarity with the utilization and the advantages of CAE methods and tools.
  • Familiar with MS Office.
  • Basic programming
