Job description

The Senior Accountant – Income Taxes is a critical position to Rite Aid’s income tax function. The incumbent is required to perform responsibilities noted below in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes. **

Essential Dutes And Responsibilities**

Preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740, including financial statement disclosures.
Preparation of federal and state income and franchise tax returns, including calculation of tax adjustments, apportionment, and quarterly estimated tax calculations.
Research federal and state tax legislation and assist with impact on compliance and financial statements.
Preparation of written correspondence to state taxing authorities when disputes arise and/or notices are received.
Coach and review work of general staff accountant.

Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a remote team environment

The typical starting pay range for this position is between $86,000-$114,600

annually, although wages can very based on experience and geography **

Education Requirements**

Bachelor’s degree of Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in accounting, finance, or business.
Current federal and state corporate income tax experience.
Proficiency using Microsoft 365 applications.
