Job SummaryDefines the strategy and direction for the future of E-Commerce products in the Mechanical parts space.
Key Responsibilities1. Creates a product strategy that aligns product goals with the company’s objectives over an extended time horizon.2. Leads market research, including customer surveys, competitive analysis, and debriefs to inform direction for the product roadmap.3. Creates customer and market segmentation to understand the unique value that the company is able to deliver through different products, packages and services.4. Develops an overall product vision through market research, competitive analysis, product SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats), pricing, packaging, and financial modeling.5. Develops the investment profile for products across different stages of the product lifecycle to rationalize products/assets to deliver optimal customer value.6. Leads voice-of-customer (VoC) activities to test out hypotheses and validate assumptions to inform product decisions.7. Performs discovery with customers and stakeholders to understand needs of the marketplace to support prioritization activities. Uses data to develop high-quality insights into the customer's user experience and needs.8. Collaborates with customer-facing teams to build a go-to-market plan helping enable teams to sell, implement and support the product.9. Develops and manages select relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), third parties, and other external industry professionals.10. Creates and maintains collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the organization to develop a deep understanding of our business, and continually iterates on product strategy.
EducationA bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in business, marketing technology, or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.
ExperienceAt least 5 years of experience as a product manager, and 5 or more years working in SaaS (Software as a Service).Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:· Strong business acumen skills with the ability to see a big picture view and communicate value and benefits of solutions.· Creative and strategic mindset to help drive products forward.· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and nurture business relationships with key customers, and establish collaborative relationships within and across internal teams on moderate to complex projects.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively tailor communications to a specific audience or call to action.· Able to apply principles of critical thinking to collect data, draw valid conclusions, consider options, recommend solutions, and solve problems.· Engaging presentation skills with the ability to effectively speak to and interact with various sizes/types of audiences in a professional and easy to understand manner.· Organized and detailed orientated and can manage multiple priorities.
Travel· Travel for this position is required and anticipated to be approximately 10-15% of the time (possibly 1 to 2 days each month).
