(Contract) Pilot Role and Responsibilities
The Pilot’s role at pMD is to help our team reach our customers and our business goals through the safe operation of pMD’s aviation department. This role is a combination of flying responsibilities and management of the day to day aviation operations.
Responsibilities include:acts as the Pilot in Command while on pMD’s aircraft(s)ensure adherence and compliance with all pMD guidelines, FAA regulations, and federal, state, and local lawsmaintain logs and records (aircraft and business), as required, and prepare written reportskeep executives informed of changes to regulations and information about the safety of flight and operation of aircraftkeep aircraft clean and neat at all timesplan and safely execute trips based on our team's needs throughout the US, including arranging all logistics and ground transportation (pre-flight and post-flight inspections; safely plan flights; load passengers, baggage, and cargo; analyze weather conditions; etc.) The pilot should be prepared to occasionally serve extra duty shifts when called upon and execute same-day trips in addition to trips up to 5 days in durationRequirements include:a Bachelor’s degreeat least 1,500 hours of PIC flight time; of that, 1000 hours PIC in a retractable gear aircraft, 500 hours PIC in a turbo prop aircraft, 100 hours PIC in a similar aircraft, such as the TBM 850professional experience in a corporate setting available to fly trips 1-5 days in duration every month and flexible to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as neededresponsible for the successful execution of multiple, concurrent projects and/or tasks excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate professionally and effectivelyvalid US passport required; international pilot experience a plus. pilot history without incidents, accidents, or violations within the previous five years FAA First Class Medical must be obtained before starting have a current pilot’s license and TBM certificationpilot's home base in the Santa Barbara area or within 1.5 hour drive a plusPhenom PIC experience a pluscertified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII)expert knowledge of FAA part 91must currently have or be willing to set up a business name per independent contractor guidelines This is a 1099 contractor position. Daily rate: $1,000 plus expenses
