Job description

Job Summary

The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of client accounts. Drive collection activities to ensure timely payments from clients, prepare statements and dispute resolution. **

Primary Functions**

  • Collection of past due balances for assigned portfolio via phone and/or email.
  • Achieve 40-50 collection calls per day.
  • Build internal and external relationships.
  • Track and resolve discrepancies/disputes with client accounts.
  • Provide invoice copies, credit memos and/or statements as needed.
  • Prepare and send dunning letters as needed.
  • Monitor outstanding account balances for determination of next steps in the collection process.
  • Record accurate and detailed notes, update account status into ERP system.
  • Escalate accounts as necessary.
  • Provide clear communication and customer service on collection issues to external clients and internal business partners.
  • Present oneself as a positive role model to the company and customers.
  • Provide collection updates to management as required.
  • File all Bankruptcy paperwork and notify branches/contracts.
  • Assist Collection Supervisor as needed.

Secondary Functions

  • Advise the appropriate manager of any issues requiring immediate attention.
  • Know and understand defined role in the Company Disaster Recovery Plan.
  • Ensure all accidents and injuries are reported immediately to your supervisor.
  • Travel between facilities when necessary.
  • Work Overtime as necessary.

Other Responsibilities

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Education And Years Of Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of collections experience.

Salary

$24-$26 / Hourly - Full Time Position Monday - Friday with Full benefits
