T-Minus Zero is seeking a Senior Gameplay Engineer to join our team as a key contributor in the creation of our brand-new AAA game & IP. You will work closely with the Tech leadership team to help define and drive the implementation of the moment-to-moment fun of an online, action-packed 3rd person multiplayer sci-fi game. To be successful in this role, you will need to be both a guide as well as collaborator for fellow teammates across all disciplines. As the team grows, you will be expected to help mentor and assist more junior team members. This is a special opportunity with a very talented team. We look forward to seeing your application!

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain high quality, efficient gameplay code in UE5 using C++.

· Collaborate with the design team to implement, refine, and balance gameplay features.

· Architect networked gameplay mechanics, including combat and traversal.

· Define and maintain workflows that allow all disciplines to iterate effectively.

· Provide technical leadership and help mentor less experienced team members.

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

· At least 10 years of experience in gameplay programming and at least two shipped AAA games.

· Ability to write, debug, and maintain C++ code.

· Experience using 3D math to implement features such as player cameras, physics, movement, and animation.

· Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience working with Unreal Engine, with prior UE4+ experience highly desirable.

· Strong game design sensibilities and experience working closely with game designers on either gameplay mechanics or character, camera and controls

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a self-directed manner.

· Portfolio of previous projects showing a range of experience.

Comp Range: $128,000 - $185,00
