Job Summary/Objective**

Leads design, architecture, development and quality control for assigned development and integration initiatives. Manages and coaches team members through product development and integration projects. Provides leadership, guidance, and support to direct reports. **

Responsibilities**

Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential to the job)

  • Provides technical management support for an application; identifies and distributes work assignments and establishes and communicates timelines.
  • Oversees a team of developers and quality assurance members.
  • Works with Product Owners to produce and maintain a prioritized product roadmap and strategy.
  • Facilitates technical implementation planning with developers on the team.
  • Identifies and sets quality standards and parameters for the quality assurance team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
  • Collaborates and communicates with cross-functional teams, works closely to identify gaps or barriers, and develops strategies to help teams overcome blockers in order to continue making progress to set commitments and deliver on time with expected scope and quality.
  • Assumes responsibility for production insight and operating the application.
  • Collaborates and leads the profiling of existing applications to identify performance bottlenecks and solution implementation.
  • Adheres to prescribed agile methodology and enhances the process for the team’s specific needs.
  • Coordinates performance testing to determine the scalability and stability of new and existing products.

Education

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Computer Science or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree . **

Experience, Skills And Key Competencies**

At least 11 years of experience with software development, including a background in Agile and Scrum methodologies and program increment planning, plus at least 3 years of prior management experience with responsibility for leading a software development team.

Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

  • Ability to lead diverse teams and create an engaging and positive culture that motivates and empowers others to do great work.
  • Working knowledge of different technology stacks and tools, such as Net, Azure, Javascript, Gerkin, and BDD framework.
  • Understanding of containerization and dynamic environment setup, Neoload, etc.
  • Strong performance management skills and can effectively mentor and coach team members to prioritize and focus on the right business needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships across teams in an effort to drive work forward.

Special Position Requirements

  • Travel for this position is required and expected to be up to 20% of work time, and requires the ability to obtain/maintain a Passport for travel to international OEC locations including but not limited to Canada, Poland and India.
