Your missions

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Lead Animator to join a highly motivated team.

As part of the job, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating a team of animators to design and develop high-quality animations. You'll also work alongside the art department to ensure that all animations meet the reference specifications.

Role and Responsibilities

As Lead Animator at Stormind Games, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Supervise a team of animators, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure the team meets its goals and maintains high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to define the animation style in projects and ensure it aligns with the game's vision.
  • Actively contribute to creating high-quality animations.
  • Manage the animator's workflow by planning activities, assigning tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Monitor and plan the resources needed for the animation department, including tools and software.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in animation and share them with the team to continually improve the company's capabilities.
  • Develop and animate in-game cinematic scenes with strong camera compositions.
  • Being able to recognize the team's skills to optimize the task assignment.
  • Being able to work with tight timelines.

Requirements and qualifications

  • Proven experience as an animator in video game projects, with at least 5 years of Lead animation experience.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of animators.
  • Strong understanding of Maya and Motionbuilder.
  • Strong keyframe animation skills.
  • Motion capture cleanup experience.
  • Familiar with game engine technologies (especially Unreal Engine).
  • Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude.
