About Charles River Associates

CRA's European Competition Practice specialises in providing economic advice on matters of competition policy and regulation. We assist firms and their legal advisors in all types of competition proceedings: firms considering merger and acquisition opportunities or involved in merger control proceedings; and firms undergoing investigations relating to cartels, restrictive commercial agreements, abuse of dominance or state aid. We also provide advice to firms involved in regulatory proceedings and sector inquiries. We offer assistance on the estimation of effects and damages in cartel cases, international arbitration and intellectual property disputes.

Job Overview

Applicants for senior positions should have extensive and relevant experience preferably in economic/antitrust consultancy, as well as a strong academic background in economics. We are always interested in applications from candidates who have relevant experience and might therefore be suitable for a more senior position within us. The basic prerequisites for such candidates are the same as for entry-level positions, in that a strong academic background in economics is essential. However, candidates should also have professional experience in economic consultancy, competition/regulatory authorities, or other employment with relevance to our areas of work. Senior candidates should be able to demonstrate an ability to manage more junior colleagues and to have extensive client contact at an early stage.

How to Apply

Applicants should apply by means of a full curriculum vitae and covering letter detailing why you are interested in a role with the Antitrust and Competition Economics practice in London.

Workplace Flexibility and COVID Safety

At CRA, we believe in creating a work environment that enables our colleagues to benefit from being together in the office to best deliver on our promise of career growth, mentorship, and inclusivity. At the same time, we recognize individuals may realize a range of benefits when working from home. We currently ask that individuals spend at least 3 to 4 days a week on average working in the office (which may include traveling to another CRA office or to a client’s location). The specific days may be determined in coordination with your practice or team. There may be times of the year (e.g. over holiday periods) when additional remote work options are offered to those whose work commitments permit it, although our offices will remain open for those who choose or need to be there.

We continue to monitor local government and regulatory guidance and adapt our safety guidelines accordingly. For those who begin the interview process with CRA, your recruiting point of contact will be available to answer any questions about work location and COVID safety.
