Role Overview

The successful Communications Manager is a multi-talented copywriter, editor and strategist. You’re adept at synthesizing complex information from diverse stakeholders into consumable content, empowering leaders with informative and impactful narratives that are delivered at the right elevation for each unique audience. You talk the talk, communicating to audiences using their own language, while effectively delivering key messaging, moments and value props.

You have a knack for building innovative and creative editorial formats and have a passion for engaging leaders and high-profile brands in meaningful conversations through various internal and external channels. Working with high confidence and agility, in a rapidly changing environment you routinely execute seamlessly. A trusted partner, you operate collaboratively and with extraordinary care, quality and efficiency, working within repeatable frameworks to deliver magic to each new audience.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Evaluate communications and engagement requests to define the most appropriate altitude, format and content, working collaboratively end-to-end with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work within a strategic framework to deliver editorial content that is timely, resonates with each unique audience and meets the objectives of the executive team and organization at large.
  • Serve as a trusted communications counselor to internal leaders and peers.
  • Create innovative and beautiful stories, key moments and compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Deliver clear, concise copy for internal and external audiences on a broad range of topics.
  • Work with subject matter experts to translate inputs and data into impactful communications, easily understood by the wider internal and external audiences.
  • Partner with internal teams and external partners to deliver on strategic projects.
  • In support of client success, identify areas of opportunity for Lions + Tigers to provide iterative or incremental support.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of writing experience for PR, executive communications, journalism, internal communications or advertising. Microsoft experience is preferred.
  • Experience in three or more of the following areas: executive communications, PR, internal communications, strategic communications, change management communications, and content strategy.
  • Superior written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues and deliver compelling information to an employee audience.
  • Superb verbal communication and client-facing skills including proficiency with conflict communications and conflict management. Able to collaborate effectively with others in high-pressure situations and to manage productively through conflict.
  • Experience preparing compelling deliverables for clients, owning and delivering the finished product.
  • Flexible and adaptive, able to quickly respond to time sensitive and complex changing requirements and new challenges.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely (and across time zones (including globally), when necessary).
