We are actively seeking an accomplished and motivated Employee Benefits Broker as the next addition to our Partner team. As an integral part of our mission, you will play a pivotal role in scaling Nava's client base by generating new business and establishing meaningful client relationships. Your track record of exceeding sales targets and your expertise in the benefits space will be critical in driving Nava Benefits' growth trajectory. This is a remote position but preferred candidates will be based in New York or Tri-State area and possess current experience owning New York employer groups (50-5,000 EEs).

  • Strategic Business Development: Lead our growth efforts by strategically identifying, targeting, and engaging potential clients within the employee benefits landscape. Your focus will be on hunting and securing new business opportunities in New York or Tri-State area.
  • Consultative Relationship Building: Assume the role of a trusted advisor for your growing client portfolio of employers (50-5,000 lives). Utilize your deep industry knowledge and understanding of clients' needs to craft tailored benefit solutions that resonate with prospects and clients alike.
  • Hunter Mindset: Embrace your role as a proactive hunter, demonstrating resilience and resourcefulness in pursuing new accounts and expanding our client base. Employ your expertise to proactively seek out and qualify potential leads, leveraging your network and market insights to drive a consistent pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, competition, and emerging opportunities. Your insights will inform our business strategies and keep us at the forefront of the employee benefits market.
  • Strategic Oversight: Collaborate closely with the service team to ensure client needs are met with excellence, while focusing the majority of your time and energy on driving new business growth.

We're seeking a seasoned professional, someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and who embodies our commitment to excellence and innovation. Specifically:

  • An accomplished sales professional with a proven track record of success in employee benefit group sales at a benefits brokerage.
  • A driven and adaptable individual, well-versed in exceeding sales targets and growing their client portfolio revenue in the range of $750k-$2M.
  • An effective communicator with the ability to create impactful content that simplifies complex processes.
  • A proactive problem-solver who demonstrates extreme ownership, finding opportunities in setbacks and reflecting on challenges to drive improvement.
  • A strategic thinker who can analyze the short and long-term needs of prospects and align them with Nava's value proposition.
  • Strong knowledge of financial arrangements and health products available to clients.
  • Resident state Health Insurance License required
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
