Construction Superintendent

Our commercial construction projects include cold storage, ground up facilities and specialty ripe rooms for the produce industry constructed all over the nation.

Nationwide corporation in Volusia County seeking Construction Project Superintendent to supervise all field construction efforts to insure that every project is constructed in accordance with established quality standards, design, budget and schedule. Cold Storage Construction experience preferred.

Traveling Construction Superintendent. Our projects are constructed across the US.

Work Performed

• Oversee Insulated metal panel installation, rack installation and various finishes throughout the job
• Ensure work is being performed on schedule
• Oversee all safety procedures on site
• Communication with owners and office personnel
• Responsible for construction equipment at the site and the operators
• Instructs field worker on how and when work is to be performed
• Assists in coordination of materials and equipment
• Reviews plans, specifications, construction data, and other contract documents to identify and point out errors, omissions, code violations, and design inadequacies
• Oversees that work is satisfactory completed
• Attends meetings with parties to the contract concerning contract requirements, job conditions, progress, work quality, disputes, allocation of funds, and other problems
• Completes daily reports and maintains logs
• Performs related work as assigned and assists in project completion, as needed

• Cold Storage and/or tilt wall construction a plus;
• 5+ years construction experience. 2+ years superintendent experience;
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of building construction;
• building trades;
• specifications and blueprints;
• safety precautions on the job site;
• building construction processes and procedures, equipment, tools, and materials;
• contracting procedures;
• construction codes, laws, and contract documents;
• standards of good work quality in building construction,
• alteration and repair; ability to determine by inspection that specifications and requirements are met;
• ability to conduct group meetings and to reconcile conflicting views;
• ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications;
• ability to maintain standards of work quality;
• ability to evaluate construction and/or design problems and recommend solutions;
• ability to maintain favorable public relations;
