KOMOJU (by Degica) is the leading cross-border payment gateway for Japan. We power payments for companies like video game distribution platform Steam and the popular mobile app TikTok. Today we help thousands of merchants by providing them with the payment infrastructure they need through developer-friendly API’s to integrations on popular platforms like Shopify and Wix; we help our merchants grow in all markets they are expanding.


About the Position

As an Account Executive at KOMOJU, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and building lasting relationships with our clients. You will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new business opportunities, as well as nurturing existing client accounts. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a deep understanding of the payment or financial solutions industry.

  • Own the enterprise sales cycle - from the prospecting stage to closing deals
  • Proactively seek new potential business and partners for KOMOJU
  • Partner with multiple functions (e.g., Inside Sales, Pre-sales, Engineering and Product) to close deals
  • Lead and contribute to team projects to develop and refine our sales process
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and trends

Requirements

  • 5+ years of working experience in sales, preferably at a technology company
  • Passion - you have a strong desire to work in a commercial position using initiative to identify business opportunities.
  • Target orientated - ability to develop and execute account plans
  • Communication - strong presentation skills, particularly for in-person as well as online meetings with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
  • Business Fluency in Japanese
