Responsibilities:
Maintain, expand and improve our cloud-based data processing and delivery platform to accommodate dramatic increases in scale
Work in a multi-disciplinary team to develop and deploy new data processing and delivery applications for existing and new data types
Participate in design and development of new instruments and capabilities
Qualifications:
Bachelors, Masters or PhD in a relevant technical field, e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, any number of scientific fields such as Earth / Atmospheric Science
Knowledge of the Python scientific data stack
Experience with AWS or other cloud-computing platforms, particularly in microservices architectures
Experience with low-footprint near-real-time highly reliable systems
Ability to respectfully and collaboratively communicate in spoken and written English, while explaining highly technical subject matter
Track record of self-starting, taking ownership of projects and juggling multiple priorities
Enthusiasm for our mission to create a new way of observing the Earth
