Position Overview
We are currently seeking part-time Real Estate Instructors to assist New Mexico students within our online courses for Colibri Group’s esteemed brand, Colibri Real Estate. The instructor will familiarize themselves with our pre-licensing courses and help students understand material by replying to emailed content questions.
This is a part-time, contract position with an estimated time commitment of 2-10 hours per week, although that will fluctuate. The instructor is paid an hourly rate based on the number of hours worked assisting students each week, as well as time spent within the other requirements of the position.
What You'll Do
    • Provide all documentation and perform all duties required to become a recognized instructor or Instructor of Record.
    • Provide support in response to student email, voicemail, and discussion board inquiries.
    • Provide replies to students within one (1) business day, preferably 24 hours, by email or personal phone. Instructor is not required, nor should the instructor meet personally with students.
    • Review course content and assist in updates to courses as applicable state law and rule changes occur.
    • Complete training and remain current on all school technology systems necessary for student support.
    • Familiarize themselves with the course content and layout.
    • Complete the 16-hour CDEI (Certified Distance Education Instructor) designation through IDECC (International Distance Education Certification Center – www.IDECC.org) within 4 months of acceptance of this contract, and Instructor will keep the designation current by taking the CDEI renewal course every three years. Costs for acquisition and renewal are reimbursed by the school.
    • Instructors of Record may also have additional tasks, depending on state requirements. This list is provided as an example, not a determinate list of tasks.
    • File proper paperwork with the state commission for school approvals and renewals.
    • File proper paperwork with the state commission for course approvals and renewals.
    • Allow name and signature to be used on course completion certificates.
    • Provide formal reviews of course materials.
    • Be attentive to and report any real estate commission and regulatory changes that may affect course content or delivery.
    • Will be required to make a 15-60 minute presentation before the Education Advisory Committee for each of the three pre-license courses. Must be prepared to answer questions about the subject matter.
What You'll Need to Succeed
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a licensed real estate salesperson, broker, or attorney required.
    • Active NM real estate license (salesperson or broker) required.
