Posting Summary
The School of Nursing-Camden is hiring Course Assistants for the 2023- 2024 academic year. Course Assistants will be utilized in the SNC to assist in the student learning process and to promote student success each semester. Course Assistants may be assigned to the nursing faculty who teach the didactic portion of a clinical specialty, pharmacology. Applicants must possess the relevant clinical expertise and experience for the assigned course. Course assistants must be physically available on exam days for in-person exam proctoring. Will be expected to virtually attend an orientation to learn basic Canvas LMS technical skills as well as teaching-learning strategies.

Multiple positions available.

Duties:
  • Oversee all recitation sessions via in-person or remote instruction, depending on room availability.
  • Provide exam reviews at the direction of the course professor.
  • Provide small group and individual tutoring related to course content, test taking, and student success strategies via remote instruction.
  • Proctor live exams (on campus) utilizing socially distancing procedures.
  • Assist course professor in grading papers, case studies, discussion boards, ATI or educational resource submissions.
  • Act as a role model for professional nursing
