The Team

The Infosys Consulting Life Sciences vertical focuses on advising pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices companies on continuously rethinking transformation along the value chain to meet contemporary business needs. We drive innovation both through process reengineering and the implementation of best-in-class solutions to a number of high-profile Pharmaceutical clients.

Our life sciences team encompasses some of the industry`s brightest experts who possess a broad set of rich experiences in helping top organizations transform their operations and deliver shareholder value. They are engaged in a number of strategic and operational programs across the top life sciences organizations.

The Life Science practice is successfully embedded within the entire Infosys Group, which enables IC to sell and deliver large scale transformation programs with a specific focus on SAP and S/4 HANA in a pull-through collaboration with delivery capacities on-shore and offshore. We drive innovation by rethinking processes in R&D/Clinical Development, Regulatory/Safety, Commercial, Global Supply Chain and Value & Access leveraging digital technologies in Data & Analytics, AI, Machine Learning, IOT enabled monitoring, virtual trials and RPA.

The Role

Potential leader of medium sized S/4HANA transformation programs or co-lead of large S/4HANA transformations in Life Science

Responsibility

  • Leading and coordinating business development and pre-sales activities, including proposals and responses to “Requests for Proposal” (RFPs) and “Requests for Information” (RFIs).
  • Shape overall delivery approach and framework for S/4HANA based business transformations during the proposal and the program initiation / Preparation phase.
  • Lead mid-size S/4HANA based transformation programs or co-lead large S/4HANA transformation programs.
  • During program execution assume overall accountability for program delivery.
  • Responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of the program, and for developing and maintaining the program environment to support each individual project within it through the Program Office function. Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between the individual projects, ensuing effective allocation of shared resources.
  • Provide guidance to overall program planning and scheduling. Establish project plan and initiate project mobilization by confirming project scope, estimate, resources, organization structure, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Provide guidance for setting up overall program governance bodies and management processes.
  • Ability to provide guidance to key end-to-end process teams (including infusion of best practice).
  • Drive strategic direction and governance related decisions, leading key governance forums including Program Boards; and report program status and progress to Steering Committees.
  • Communication and stakeholder management with senior client program, business, and IT leadership.
  • Proactively monitor and control execution of the program from the Discover to the Realize phases including though Analyze, Design, Build, Test and Release; managing and mitigating risks to the program’s successful outcome and resolving issues and initiating corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Manage cost, timelines, milestones, change control and quality during delivery.
  • Facilitate the sourcing, selection and allocation of resources to the program delivery teams.
  • Manage internal consulting resources, 3rd party provider resources, and contract resources.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Superior client interaction skills: ability to build trusted relationships and to drive transformation programs jointly with client leadership. Ability to navigate in a complex organization structures and to deal with ambiguity.
  • Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to inspire, convince and to influence to be able to gain buy-in from senior business management and stakeholders.
  • Superior problem management skills (problem identification, structuring, resolution) and moderation skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitations skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines and challenging constraints.
  • Ability to collaborate within the Firm and to leverage existing resources.
  • Superior program management skills proven through program leadership positions in previous roles, with experience of establishing high-performing teams and an interest in developing team members.
  • Extensive work experience in a consulting company, working in large scale SAP transformation programs.
  • Extensive work experience in the Life Sciences industry. Profound know-how of Life Sciences challenges and business dynamics, and of validation implications for SAP program delivery.
  • Proven delivery capability for large scale SAP based transformation programs within and outside of Life Sciences.
  • Excellent experience in core business processes in the Life Sciences industry in at least two of the following process areas: Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Plan-to-Produce, Source-to-Pay, Project-to-Decommission.
  • Experience in executing delivery using a blend of onsite resources with nearshore and offshore delivery centers.
  • Practical application of project management life cycle principles and methodologies (SAP Activate, including key concepts like Model Company, SAP Value Lifecycle Management etc.).
  • Demonstrated skills in defining and executing an Agile-based design and delivery approach.
  • Experience in delivering SAP using a value-driven transformation approach.
  • Willingness to travel extensively in Europe and ability to work within a European environment is essential.
