Open call for Writers

We're always looking to grow our pool of potential candidates, especially stand out ones. While we're not officially hiring for this role at present, you're welcome to submit an application with writing sample to keep on file.

As this is a highly cross-functional role, working across Product, Content, and Marketing (B2B and B2C), the Writer must be able to adapt their style and manage multiple priorities. From short SMS notifications that remind users to complete a routine, to white papers that showcase the value of Fabulous for HR and business professionals, the Writer must be able and excited to tackle diverse writing projects. This position reports to the Chief Storyteller.

Working at Fabulous

Fabulous is a mobile app helping thousands of people every day to change their lifestyles by integrating healthy habits into their lives. Fabulous is using a behavioral economics lens to help everyone achieve their fullest potential. We work closely with researchers based at Duke University and our advisor is Dan Ariely, author of NYT bestseller Predictably Irrational.

Expectations | Duties

• Conduct research on a variety of topics, from productivity to compassion
• Craft long- and short-form product content experiences that use behavioral science to support personal growth
• Collaborate with Marketing for email copywriting and developing collateral that demonstrates Fabulous' mastery of behavioral science (e.g., white papers, blog posts, fact sheets)
• Apply the narrative arc as a tool for inspiring and motivating users towards positive change
• Write clear, effective, short-form UX copy from push notifications to social media posts
• Distill scientific content into an understandable and engaging format for a diverse audience (business executives to pop culture connoisseurs)
• Coordinate content releases with designers, voiceover artists, and development team
• Proofread all content for grammar, punctuation, and stylistic inconsistencies
