Your future tasks

  • We rely on your expertise when it comes to ensuring compliance with internal and external risk guidelines, market standards, and requirements.
  • You will be responsible for risk approval processes for commodity and energy-related products, counterparties and trading strategies, and escalating risk-related issues to relevant committees.
  • You will take charge of implementing and continuously developing market, credit and liquidity risk control processes to ensure they align with GETEC’s risk strategy and regulatory requirements.
  • Additionally, you will coordinate risk committees, prepare relevant reports, and analyze current exposures as well as expected market developments.
  • In your role, you will monitor trading activity and investigate breaches, and will conduct stress tests to estimate potential impacts of external factors on GETEC's portfolio.
  • Your analytical skills and proactive approach will be instrumental in making informed decisions and optimizing risk performance.


YOU AS A PERSON

  • You hold a master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience in commodity, market, credit or liquidity risk management and first experience in the energy industry - this is a must-have.
  • Programming skills (e.g., Python, C#, or other OOP languages) are a plus.
  • You have fluent English skills; German is an advantage.
  • You are resident in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands or Switzerland.
  • You have strong analytical skills, a hands-on approach and the ability to interpret complex data and draw action-oriented conclusions.
