We are seeking a Senior Banking Compliance Specialist to join our team!

Our financial institutions niche at Brown Edwards is growing!  We offer a variety of services to community banks and credit unions including compliance testing and consulting.  We are searching for a candidate who has a strong desire to serve our clients well not only by testing their records for compliance, but also by offering invaluable consulting and guidance.  With this position, there is opportunity to advance in this area of our practice including further evolving as a leader and subject matter expert.

As a Senior Banking Compliance Specialist, you will assist financial institutions in compliance with regulations through detail testing and consulting services. Our Banking Compliance Team will help train and support your growth in this expanding service niche.  Working remotely full-time is an option with this position. 

What Your Day Looks Like: 

  • Test adherence to compliance regulations.
  • Help to identify areas of non-compliance.
  • Research compliance regulations.
  • Communicate with financial institutions to address and resolve identified issues.
  • Assist with providing written deliverables to financial institutions.
  • Offer ideas for improvement to internal processes and workflow.
  • Assist with providing advisory services to financial institutions.
  • Identify opportunities to add value to existing services and grow the practice through additional client services.
  • Perform other essential duties as needed.
  • Lead and supervise teams of one or two other specialists in ensuring that clients are served timely and in a quality manner.   

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking regulations required, CRCM or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to research and interpret banking regulations.
  • Organized – position involves working with multiple clients and staff tracking progress and assisting with providing deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Self-motivated – the candidate will be expected to plan ahead for future jobs while completing existing jobs in a timely manner.
  • Flexible – while job assignments are scheduled, there are times when priorities change.
  • Deadline driven.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of professionalism and good judgement.
  • Proficient with computers, spreadsheets, and basic software applications.
