Job description

The Tax Director will lead, maintain, and oversee all tax efforts for the company while providing support for internal and external audits.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all supporting documentation for the quarterly tax provision
  • Review the quarterly tax provision prepared by external tax advisors to ensure compliance with ASC 740
  • Provide support for internal and external audits, ensuring alignment with company policies and SOX requirements
  • Maintain a forecast of our estimated annual effective tax rate, including the effect of discrete items to the quarter
  • Review and verify the accuracy of tax returns prepared by external firms, ensuring all tax obligations are met
  • Review the tax estimates prepared by the external tax advisors
  • Coordinate with international tax advisors to compliantly and tax-efficiently repatriate maximum cash back to the US
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies
  • Manage and provide all supporting documentation for the annual R&D tax credit study conducted by external tax advisors
  • Ensure compliance with sales tax requirements
  • Coordinate with Payroll to ensure compliance with withholding requirements, including related to share-based compensation 
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with evolving tax laws and regulations, addressing any discrepancies proactively
  • Coordinate the tax due diligence on M&A targets, as applicable, with external tax advisors
  • Prepare the opening balance sheet ASC 805-740 journal entries, as applicable
  • Complete all state tax withdrawals to support short form mergers, as applicable
  • Other duties as assigned  

Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of experience in corporate tax in an SEC reporting environment
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred) 
  • CPA required
  • Working experience with federal, state/local, and international tax 
  • Familiarity with French tax requirements
  • Expert knowledge of ASC 740
  • Job related experience using AI or GenAI required
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred
  • FloQast experience preferred
  • Working experience with M&A tax a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, taxation, or related field 
  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, taxation, or related field a plus
