Job description

Anika Systems is looking for a passionate and talented Business Analyst to join our expanding Federal team. We are a fast-growing woman-owned small business providing innovative IT solutions for federal, state, and civil government agencies. This opportunity will be primarily remote with customer site visit (Baltimore) as needed.

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance.

As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to define, document, and prioritize business requirements. You will create reports and deliverables that are aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements. Ensure that requirements captured are clear, complete, and actionable.
Evaluate existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement or optimization. Propose solutions to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
Create detailed use cases, user stories, and mockups to illustrate software functionality and user interactions.
Work with stakeholders to prioritize and manage requirements based on business value and project constraints.
Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and program teams. Ensure a shared understanding of project goals and requirements.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, use cases, and project-related materials.
Manage and document changes to project scope, requirements, and objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in software development and business analysis. Suggest and implement process improvements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently.
8+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, modeling tools, and documentation.
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Familiarity with project management tools and software development lifecycle.
Scrum Certification (CSM) is a plus.
