- JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
- Responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, clinical, financial and technological risks. Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency. Responsibilities include full range of activities from leading small to large scale projects to assisting other project managers on complex interdepartmental projects related to organization operational business functions that affect team members and providers at the industry level.

- Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Information Systems database analyst skills and applies this knowledge to the development, implementation, and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices. Skills in project management methodology and database design principles are preferred.
- Identifies, creates, and facilitates process design changes by conducting end-to-end business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level. Focuses on quality improvement and data management, ensuring data is reliable and valid. Develops process improvements or re-engineers and recommends elimination. Integrates new systems and processes with existing ones. Partners with internal/external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies.​​​​
- Provides project level analysis – producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, and user acceptance test (UAT) plans).
- Collaborates closely with developers to implement the requirements, providing necessary guidance to testers during the quality assurance and UAT process.

- Samaritan Health Plans (SHP) operates a portfolio of health plan products under several different legal structures: InterCommunity Health Plans, Inc. (IHN) is designated as a regional Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) for Medicaid beneficiaries; Samaritan Health Plans, Inc. offers Medicare Advantage, Commercial Large Group, and Commercial Large Group PPO and EPO plans; SHP is also the third-party administrator for Samaritan Health Services’ self-funded employee health benefit plan. - EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Four (4) years business analysis and/or business systems analysis project coordination related experience required. A Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years experience.
- Experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business required.
- Advanced experience and/or training in SQL and Microsoft Excel required.
- Health Plan or health system experience preferred.
- Cognizant TriZetto Clinical CareAdvance experience preferred.
