Job Summary

The Cooperative Extension Services (CES) department is seeking Regional 4-H Extension Administrator. In this role, you will provide regional support and expertise in 4-H program design, development and implementation, work in collaboration with the three regional 4-H staff members who support area and county 4-H staff members who deliver the 4-H program at the county level and assist with statewide efforts to expand rapidly the 4-H youth development program through the Next Chapter, Project Achievement and Juntos 4-H programs.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Design, implement and deliver high quality educational extension programming for Next Chapter, Project Achievement and Juntos 4-H Programs within assigned geographic area
  • Build partnerships at regional level to sustain Next Chapter, Project Achievement and Juntos 4-H programming long term
  • Bridge and bond legacy and new extension programming
  • Ensure reports are completed accurately and on-time for funding partners and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Indiana 4-H regional administrators, educators and county staff in developing, facilitating, and evaluating Next Chapter, Project Achievement and Juntos 4-H programming
  • Help manage program volunteers (recruiting, training, supporting)
  • Acquire extramural funding and fees to support 4-H Extension programs and staff salary savings for sustainability of the program
  • Work as part of the Regional 4-H Staff to support statewide events such as the Indiana State Fair
  • Actively participate in professional activities at the local, university, state, North Central Region and national levels as appropriate
  • Ensure appropriate dissemination of information, training, and professional development for Next Chapter, Project Achievement and Juntos 4-H programming
  • Provide technical support for Next Chapter, Project Achievement and Juntos 4-H programming
  • Support county staff, state program coordinators, and extension educators in implementing programming
  • Other duties as assigned to support the overall goals of Indiana 4-H

  • Ability to travel throughout the state including reliable transportation
