This is a remote position.

We have invented a new credit card powered by an advanced asset-securing platform that enables us to offer much lower APRs to consumers. Our team is a combination of deep technology (Microsoft, Google, Facebook), and finance  (Nubank, Goldman Sachs, Square, Carta, SoFi) executives. Job Summary:

The OG Team Lead oversees and drives key projects within the OG process. This role emphasizes project management, triaging escalated issues, and coordinating between teams to ensure smooth loan processing. While customer support is a secondary function, the primary focus is L2 project oversight and ensuring operational efficiency across origination workflows.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective at managing projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities 

Project Management:

        Lead and drive multiple loan origination projects from initiation to completion, ensuring objectives are met within established timelines.

        Develop and maintain project plans, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure successful execution.

        Identify and resolve roadblocks in loan processing workflows by collaborating with cross-functional teams.

 
Triaging & Escalation Handling:

        Serve as the escalation point for complex Level 2 issues related to loan origination processes, providing timely resolutions.

        Triage incoming issues, prioritize based on urgency and impact, and delegate tasks to appropriate team members.

        Analyze recurring issues and recommend process improvements to minimize future escalations.

Team Coordination & Leadership:

        Coordinate between underwriting, processing, and quality assurance teams to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

        Ensure clear team communication regarding project updates, timelines, and task priorities.

        Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to build expertise in managing Level 2 issues and project delivery.

Process Optimization:

        Evaluate current loan origination workflows and identify opportunities for improvement to reduce processing times and errors.

        Collaborate with stakeholders to implement best practices, automation tools, and operational enhancements.

        Monitor project performance and operational metrics to ensure alignment with business goals.

Reporting & Communication:

        Prepare detailed reports on project progress, issue resolutions, and team performance for management review.

        Communicate updates on key projects and initiatives to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

        Document project outcomes and lessons learned to inform future initiatives.



Requirements

       Proven experience in US mortgage loan OG, project management, or a similar role within the financial services industry.

       Strong understanding of OG processes, including underwriting, processing, and quality control.

       Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

       Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills for triaging and resolving complex issues.

       Proficiency in project management tools (Asana) and reporting tools (Excel).

       Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.

       Bachelor's Degree or comparable work experience in financial services 

 

       Flexibility to work US Pacific time 10 AM to 7 PM (with a 1-hour break time in between)

  • Applicant must be based in the Philippines.

Location: HQ - Burlingame, CA (San Francisco Bay Area). Remote work - Rest of the US, Philippines
