Production, Planning, Purchasing Contractor (Immediate Hire)

The TULA  Operations Team is looking for a contractor to support our Production Planning and Purchasing team.This role reports to the VP, Operations. This role is remote and for immediate hire following Holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Place and confirm purchase orders as specified by the production plan to support the sales forecast. This includes working with the Planning team to production plan, review and confirm final buys for components.
• Maintain relationships with the corresponding supplier contacts. Have weekly phone calls, set up standards as they relate to specifications, incoming component delivery and shipping. Review and monitor open order reporting with suppliers. Ensure milestones are met related to component deliveries.
• Tracking of all components, from the time they are purchased until they reach their destination to ensure delivery meets the vendor production lead time. 
• Communicate with freight companies of new shipments to meet deadlines and follow up until units are delivered to the required destination.
• Set up new product development for Finished Goods and Components following product development’s release,  including (but not limited to), BOMs, F&A, production files, product specs and artwork.
• Run and perform monthly inventory reconciliations to confirm the quantity accuracy and value of inventory located at each filler/ component vendor.

Qualifications: 

• Previous Vendor Relationship Management
• Impeccable detail for tracking and deadline management
• Purchase Order Processing Experience 
• Experience with Inventory Reconciliation 
• Reference 

Salary Range:
$40-$50/hour depending on skillset, experience and geographic location
