About The Opportunity

We are seeking a Vice President of Product to lead Product Management and UI/UX, and serve as a core member of the Drip Executive Team. The VP will be responsible for driving our product strategy, vision, and execution delivering solutions that delight our customers and show measurable impact. This role requires a leader with deep expertise in MarTech, ideally in email marketing, and strong empathy for SMBs.

The VP of Product will work closely with the rest of the executive team and other cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Sales & Marketing, and Customer Support. They will report to the CEO and manage a globally distributed team of talented product managers and product designers motivated to deliver excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Own the product vision, aligning the company's strategic goals and addressing customer pain points in marketing automation. Lead the strategic decision-making process on how to prioritize building out the vision.
  • Customer-Centric Focus: Curate the product vision by taking into account the market landscape and meeting the immediate and future needs of our core customers. Maintain a deep understanding of customer behavior, and pain points through user research, feedback, and data analysis. Ensure we meet our high standards of design, usability and customer satisfaction.
  • Competitive Analysis: Understand the market landscape. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies. Identify opportunities for us to retain core customers and grow market share.
  • Collaboration: Partner with engineering to build a high-impact product. Collaborate with Drip’s marketing and sales teams to align on go-to-market strategies for new product features and enhancements, ensuring successful product adoption. Engage with Customer Support and Success to address customer pain points. Be willing to roll-up your sleeves as needed.
  • Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing product and design team. Foster an innovative, customer-centric, and collaborative culture. Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and other Drip executives.
  • Metrics-Driven: Define and track key product and business metrics, drive continuous improvement, and make data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of product management experience
    • 5+ years in a leadership role
    • Experience in UX design
    • Experience working with remote, geographically-distributed teams
    • Experience working in venture-backed companies, ideally in Series B or later stages
  • Industry Expertise:
    • Deep understanding in martech, particularly in email marketing, CRM systems, automation and analytics.
    • Demonstrated experience in SaaS businesses
    • Familiarity with B2C and appreciation for ecommerce, ideally with experience in the space
  • Track Record: Proven experience scaling products and businesses.
  • Leadership: Team building and team leadership experience, with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams. Ability to lead through change and ambiguity and keep teams motivated through ups and downs.
  • Strategic Mindset: A visionary who can bring big-picture thinking with the practicality of near-term execution and sequencing requirements.
  • Customer Focus: Passionate about understanding and solving customer pain points with a track record of launching customer-centric, delightful products and features.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to collaborate well with engineering teams and bring a solid understanding of the technical aspects of product development.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong data-driven approach, with experience using analytics to inform product decisions and drive success.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting product strategy and updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including the board of directors.
