We are seeking a dedicated and people-focused
Project Accounting Manager with extensive experience in revenue analysis, revenue recognition, and AEC billing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in using Deltek Vantagepoint and a proven track record of managing teams effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of project accountants, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
- Analyze revenue data to identify trends, provide insights, and make recommendations for revenue enhancement
- Ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies and standards and assist in reviewing and forecasting project performance
- Manage AEC billing processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Utilize Deltek Vantagepoint for revenue management, billing, and reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in revenue management
- Work closely with area leaders, the VP of Operations Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure revenue alignment and support business objectives
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations
- Effectively deliver complex project and revenue recognition matters to Project Managers, Finance staff, and leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; higher education preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue analysis, revenue recognition, and AEC billing with 3 years of proven experience in managing and developing teams
- Proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint
- Strong knowledge of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606)
- Certified Project Accounting Professional (CPAP) or Certified Management Accountant preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Proven ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on team collaboration and stakeholder management
