The Associate Medical Director represents the Medical Strategy team and will be responsible for providing strategic insight and medical direction based on a thorough knowledge of the Client's product and therapeutic area.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate understanding for multiple products and disease states
  • Interact with internal teams (Account, PM, creative, etc.) and clients on programs to meet strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with the medical director in managing multiple accounts from a scientific perspective including all scientific and strategic aspects of medical communication tactics, meetings, and programs
  • Collaborate with the Medical team and internal teams while being flexible in a dynamic service-oriented environment
  • Self-educate on innovation in the industry and begin to conceptualize programs for teams
  • Assist in the development of high-quality scientific and well-referenced educational materials, including promotional education content, as well as abstracts, posters, slide decks, brief communications, and other standard communication formats
  • Develop depth of understanding for assigned products, related medical areas, and competitors on an ongoing basis
  • Identify and communicate important updates and medical-regulatory milestones to the team and recommend new business opportunities
  • Mentor and/or manage Medical Writers

Required Skills & Experience

  • An advanced scientific degree (Ph.D., MD, PharmD) preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a Medical Communications agency setting preferred
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment to develop and execute scientific communications and promotional initiatives for clients
  • Meticulous attention to detail

Pay Range: $115,000.00-$135,000.00

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
