As a Scrum Master, you will be our go-to person for applying Scrum to produce high-quality work. You will develop and lead high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams, instilling in them a clear vision and a passionate drive. Your role involves creating self-organizing teams that are flexible and fully productive during sprints. You will work closely with the Product Owner to translate epics, stories, and other items on the sprint list into actionable tasks for developers. You are responsible for keeping the project moving forward by removing all impediments for the team. You will facilitate the team’s daily standup meetings each morning and act as a buffer between the Scrum team and Product Owner, maintaining a positive working environment by helping with conflict resolution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project scope and timeline.
  • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups.
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks.
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.
  • Guide the team on how to get the most out of self-organization.
  • Be the point of contact for external communications.
  • Work with Product Owners to handle backlogs and new requests; support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur.
  • Help teams implement changes effectively and assist the team in agreeing on achievable goals for each development sprint.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint.
  • Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it.


Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of the Scrum framework, with all its artifacts and techniques.
  • Ability to coordinate people and projects with a focus on deliverables.
  • Strong communication skills and capable leadership.
  • Experience in a Scrum Master role for a software development team, ideally having led several projects from initiation to completion.
  • Familiarity with software development and the eCommerce ecosystem.
  • Solid understanding of Scrum techniques and artifacts.
  • A can-do attitude, result-driven, and openness to learning.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Openness to new ideas and a desire to develop them collaboratively.
  • Ability to analyze and think quickly.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of numerous well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach.
  • Scrum Master certification is desirable.

In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role. In California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, and Washington, the standard base pay range for this role is $100,000-130,000 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations. In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for competitive benefits, individual and team performance awards, others. Actual amounts will vary depending on overall profile, experience, and location.
