The Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General is currently seeking a full-time Communications Specialist for the Communications team.
Position Summary:
This position works directly with the Communications Director, Press Secretary and various OAG staff to inform the general public and the news media of the work and mission of Oklahoma’s Attorney General, chiefly through social media platforms.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Create content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, linkedin, Bluesky, Truth Social, etc) and monitor social media related to the work of the OAG.
· Collect and distribute daily news media clips.
· Assist in creation of digital, audio and video content for public consumption.
· Assist website administrator on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications:
At least two years of communications, journalism, public relations or related job experience and a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a related discipline. Excellent written communications skills and strong knowledge of social media content creation.
